About the artist
DJ Slait, born Ignazio Pisano, is an Italian DJ, producer, and music executive who has played a foundational role in shaping modern Italian rap and trap. He is best known as a co-founder of the Machete label and the 333 Mob collective, platforms that helped launch and connect a generation of Italian rap artists. Rather than being a traditional performing artist, Slait has built his profile largely through curation, production, and executive work behind the scenes of the Italian urban music scene.
His Bloody Vinyl mixtape series, released between 2012 and 2020, became a landmark project for Italian trap and drill, bringing together producers and rappers across multiple installments, including the acclaimed third chapter, BV3, made with producers Low Kidd, tha Supreme, and Young Miles. Tracks like «BLOODY BARS - DRILLUMINAZIONE» and «BLOODY BARS - STUDIOMOB» reflect this collaborative, compilation-driven approach, blending drill, trap, and pop-leaning hip-hop textures.
Beyond his mixtapes, Slait has held significant industry roles, including serving as artistic director for the Italian division of Arista Records under Sony Music Italy. Through his labels, management agency, and production work, he has remained one of the most influential figures connecting Italy's underground rap scene to the mainstream music industry.
