He began releasing music online as a young teenager under the moniker Zwille, using raw, confessional lyrics as an outlet for personal struggles including bullying and isolation during his youth. This early period shaped the emotionally intense tone that would define his later work.

After a stint with the label Indipendenza, Sierra Kidd struck out on his own around 2015, founding his own imprint Teamfucksleep to release music independently.
