Sha EK

Sha EK, born Chalim Perry on April 8, 2003, is an American rapper from the Bronx, New York, widely regarded as one of the founding figures of Bronx drill. Inspired by fellow Bronx artists like Lil Tjay and A Boogie wit da Hoodie, he began releasing music in 2019, first appearing on his friend WockHardt's single «Extortion». His melodic, autotune-inflected take on drill, drawing on the sound pioneered in Brooklyn, set him apart from more traditional drill acts.

His 2020 single «Jiggy Man This, Jiggy Man That» brought him early attention, followed by his debut album JIIGYONJIIGY and its deluxe edition. He broke through more widely in 2021 with «D & D», a collaboration with Blockwork that went viral on TikTok thanks to its blunt, confrontational lyrics.

Sha EK's catalog, including tracks like «Touch The Ground», «Get Back», «New Opps» and «Box», is defined by hard, gritty drill production paired with a smoother, sung-rap delivery, a combination that helped define the Bronx drill sound alongside contemporaries in the scene.
