Seth Gueko

Seth Gueko, born Nicolas Salvadori, is a French rapper from Saint-Ouen-l'Aumône in the Val-d'Oise, part of the Néochrome collective. His stage name is a nod to Seth Gecko, the George Clooney character in Robert Rodriguez and Quentin Tarantino's «From Dusk Till Dawn».

His rap is defined above all by language: he mixes street slang, old Parisian argot, Romani and Gypsy speech, and fragments of Serbian, Portuguese, Lingala, Arabic, Creole, and franglais, often coining his own words and sound effects. That linguistic playfulness, combined with a raw, humorous, and sometimes provocative delivery, gives his tracks a distinctive texture within French rap, closer to old-school gouaille than to mainstream commercial rap.

He built his reputation through mixtapes and albums that leaned into gritty storytelling and slang-heavy wordplay, with songs like «Dodo la Saumure» and «Patate de forain» becoming signature tracks. He remains known as one of the more idiosyncratic voices in the French rap scene, valued for his verbal inventiveness as much as his content.
