SEEMEE

SEEMEE, born Alexey Stepanov, is a Russian trap and rap artist from Tyumen and a member of the MELON MUSIC collective. He first gained wide recognition through a joint project with fellow Tyumen rapper MAYOT, which introduced his raw, melancholic style to a broader hip-hop audience before he built a solo catalog.

His sound blends dark trap production with catchy, half-sung hooks, drawing on influences he has cited from Eminem and Russian rap pioneers like Kasta and Kartel. Tracks such as «Голодный пёс (Hungry Dog)», «WINDOWS» and «Hot Wheels» showcase his signature mix of moody atmosphere and playful, sometimes ironic lyricism, moving between straightforward rap cuts and more melodic, R&B-tinged pop numbers.

As part of the MELON MUSIC scene, SEEMEE occupies a niche within Russia's regional trap wave that emerged from cities outside Moscow and St. Petersburg, contributing songs like «Впадлу (Too Lazy)» and «LOVEPAIN» that helped define the label's melancholic, youth-oriented sound.
