Șatra B.E.N.Z.

Șatra B.E.N.Z. is a Romanian rap collective, or «brigade» as its members call it, widely credited as one of the first acts to bring trap music to a high level of production and popularity in Romania. The group originally consisted of five members: rappers Super ED, Killa Fonic, NOSFE and Keed handling lyrics and performance, alongside producer Lu-K Beats, who shaped the group's signature sound. Killa Fonic left the collective in May 2019.

Across their «O.$.O.D.» (O Șatră O Dragoste) album series — released in 2015, 2017 and 2019, plus a fourth installment the same year — Șatra B.E.N.Z. helped define modern Romanian trap, pairing aggressive, street-rooted verses with Lu-K Beats' dark, bass-heavy production. In October 2019 they also released their first EP, «Ș.E.F.». Songs like «Vine Șatra», «Pleacă Șatra» and «#Traparmy» became anthems within the Romanian hip-hop scene and helped popularize trap as a mainstream genre in the country.

The group suffered a major loss on 16 October 2022, when NOSFE died of a heart attack in Bucharest shortly after a concert with Șatra B.E.N.Z., at age 37. His death was a significant moment for Romanian hip-hop, marking the end of an era for one of the genre's pioneering acts.
