Sarius

Sarius is a Polish rapper who emerged from the «Osiedle 1000-lecia» district of Częstochowa, an estate with a strong local hip-hop lineage tied to the 1990s group «1000». He debuted in November 2013 under the Asfalt Records banner with the album Blisko Leży Obraz Końca, produced almost entirely by DJ Eprom, whose vintage-sampler approach gave the record a raw, boom-bap-rooted sound drawing on 1990s hip-hop aesthetics.

The album drew attention for Sarius's forceful, physically confident delivery, shaped in part by his background as a junior amateur boxer, and earned praise from established figures in Polish rap, including O.S.T.R., who appeared as a guest on the record. That debut set the template for Sarius's early career: gritty, street-level storytelling delivered with an unusually assured cadence for a first-time artist.

Over the years that followed, Sarius broadened his catalogue with tracks such as «NajsHajs», «Wiking», «Kurtyna», «Dobry chłopak» and «Dziecko wojny», moving between hard-edged rap and more melodic, R&B-tinged material while retaining the direct, unfiltered tone that defined his debut. He remains associated with the wave of Częstochowa-rooted rappers who built careers around the Asfalt Records scene in the 2010s.
