Sage The Gemini

Sage the Gemini is an American rapper and producer from Fairfield, California, and a member of the Bay Area's HBK Gang collective. He broke through in 2013 with «Gas Pedal», featuring fellow Bay Area artist IamSu!, whose bouncy, minimalist production and hyphy-adjacent groove became a defining sound of the era and crossed over onto pop radio. The song reached the top 30 of the Billboard Hot 100 and gave both artists their first mainstream hit.

His follow-up single «Red Nose» further cemented his presence on R&B and hip-hop charts, and both tracks appeared on his debut EP Gas Pedal, which reached the R&B/Hip-Hop Albums chart. Signing to Republic Records in 2013 pushed him further into the pop-rap mainstream, where his music blended West Coast rap sensibilities with radio-friendly hooks and dance-oriented production.
