Sadek

Sadek, born Sadek Bourguiba on May 25, 1991 in Neuilly-Plaisance, Seine-Saint-Denis, is a French rapper and actor who emerged in the early 2010s from the Paris-area freestyle and battle scene. He first drew attention in 2007 at the Quai 54 streetball tournament, where organizer Hammadoun Sidibé took him under his wing and helped steer him toward developing his rap in a proper studio setting, eventually leading to a fully realized musical project.

He cut his teeth contributing to collective projects such as Street Lourd, Capitale du Crime, and Dj Abdel's Evolution series before releasing a string of solo mixtapes, putting out nine projects between 2012 and 2018 alongside numerous guest features. His music blends direct, streetwise storytelling with the melodic and Francophone Afro-Caribbean-influenced textures common to the 93 (Seine-Saint-Denis) scene, and songs like «Andale», «Petit prince», and «Heisenberg» show his range from harder street cuts to more melodic, hook-driven tracks.

Sadek is often grouped with contemporaries like Sofiane and Kaaris as part of an intermediate generation of French MCs — younger than rap's founding wave but more established than the newest arrivals, and notably prolific across the decade. Beyond music, he has also pursued acting, adding another dimension to his public profile within French urban culture.
