Rosa Chemical

Rosa Chemical is the stage name of Manuel Franco Rocati, an Italian singer, rapper, and producer from Alpignano, near Turin. His artistic name blends «Rosa», his mother's name, with «Chemical», a nod to My Chemical Romance, echoing the way Marilyn Manson's own name fused two contrasting figures. Before adopting the Rosa Chemical identity, he released early material under the aliases Ekios and Kranyo and was also active as a graffiti writer under the tag Svame.

He began building a following in Italy's trap scene in 2019 with the independently released EP OKAY OKAY!!, followed by collaborations such as «LONG NECK» with Taxi B and «4L» with FSK Satellite. In May 2020 he released his debut album, FOREVER, through Flavor Break-Thrus and Island/Universal, a project that started weaving pop vocal melodies into his trap-rooted sound. His catalog since has embraced provocative, genre-blending pop-rap on tracks like «POLKA» and its sequel «polka 2 :-/», «britney ;-)», «CEO», «LONDRA», «BOHEME», «LOBBY WAY», and «SLATT».

His profile rose significantly in 2023 when he competed in the Sanremo Music Festival with the song «MADE IN ITALY», bringing his provocative aesthetic to Italy's most prominent mainstream music stage.
