Ronnie Flex

Ronnie Flex, born Ronell Langston Plasschaert, is a Dutch singer, rapper, and producer who grew up with his mother in Capelle aan den IJssel and attended school in Rotterdam. He emerged as a key figure in the Dutch urban music scene, blending rap and R&B-tinged pop with melodic vocals, a combination that became one of his defining traits.

His career gained early momentum through collaborations with Yellow Claw, notably on the track «Nooit Meer Slapen», and with Mr. Polska and producer Boaz van de Beatz, before he shifted focus to his own solo material. His breakthrough as a solo artist came with the song «Zusje», which helped establish him as a distinctive voice in Dutch pop and hip-hop. He released his debut solo album on November 14, 2014, well received for its varied sound and the quality of his rapping and singing.

His second album, Rémi, was released unannounced on June 30, 2017. He also contributed to the New Wave collective project, on which the track «Drank en Drugs» became especially successful, gaining attention even outside the Netherlands. Songs such as «Energie», «Come Again», «Blijf Bij Mij» and «Is Dit Over» further cemented his standing as one of the most prominent Dutch-language pop and rap artists of his generation.
