He is the son of reggae fusion artist Shaggy, though he built his own identity through a hazy, melodic, lyric-forward style distinct from his father's genre.

Robb Bank$ became known for atmospheric, introspective releases that blended trap production with a laid-back, often melancholic delivery, drawing comparisons to the early 2010s cloud-rap and Florida underground movements.
