Rob $tone

Rob $tone, born Jaylen Robinson, is a rapper from San Diego, California, whose musical taste was shaped growing up by his father's wide-ranging record collection, spanning rock, reggae, R&B, hip-hop, and rap. That eclectic upbringing informs the melodic, genre-blending approach he brings to his rap output.

He first gained attention with «Chill Bill», originally uploaded to SoundCloud in 2014 and later re-released as an official single in 2016, where it became a breakout commercial hit, reaching the top five of the Billboard Hot 100. The track's laid-back, hook-driven style became a defining calling card for his sound.

Building on that momentum, Rob $tone released mixtapes including Straight Bummin' and I'm Almost Ready, followed by his debut studio album, Don't Wait for It, in 2017. He continued releasing music into the following years, including the mixtape Young Rob $tone and the EP For The People in 2018, cementing himself as a steady presence in the West Coast rap scene.
