Rkomi

Rkomi, the stage name of Mirko Manuele Martorana, is an Italian singer-songwriter and rapper from Milan. He began his career in 2013 with the EP Cugini Bella Vita as part of the duo Cugini Bellavita alongside his cousin, rapper Pablo Asso, followed by his first solo mixtape, Calvairate Mixtape, which featured collaborations with Tedua and IZI. His official recording career took shape in 2016 with a series of singles later collected in the EP Dasein Sollen.

His debut studio album, Io In Terra, was released in 2017 through Universal, establishing him within the Italian rap scene. Two years later, Dove Gli Occhi Non Arrivano marked a stylistic shift toward a more pop and sung sound, distancing him somewhat from straightforward rap and broadening his audience. This evolution reflected a wider trend in Italian urban music toward melodic, genre-blending songwriting.

Rkomi's profile grew significantly in 2022, when he competed in the Sanremo Music Festival with the song «Insuperabile» and was also selected as a judge on the talent show X Factor, cementing his status as one of the mainstream faces of contemporary Italian rap and pop. His catalog includes tracks such as «Apnea», «Milano Bachata» and «Oh Mama», reflecting his blend of rap roots with pop-oriented songwriting.
