Remy Ma, born Reminisce Smith in 1980 in the Bronx, New York, is one of hip-hop's most respected female MCs, known for sharp, aggressive lyricism and battle-ready wordplay. She rose to prominence in the early 2000s as a member of Big Pun and Fat Joe's Terror Squad collective, appearing on tracks like «Lean Back» before launching a solo career highlighted by the 2006 hit «Conceited».
