Rasta

Rasta, born Stefan Đurić in 1989 in Priština, is a Serbian singer, songwriter, and producer who built his career in Belgrade. He is known for blending Balkan pop-folk with hip-hop, R&B, and reggae influences, frequently using autotune to shape his melodic, hook-driven vocal style. His artistic name and image are tied to his long-standing following of the Rastafari movement, which also inspired his musical direction and dreadlocked look.

He began his career as a member of the group Show Program before releasing his debut mixtape, Sensemilia Mixtape, in 2009. Early tracks like «Legalizuj» and «Dok Ja Rolam Blant» established his signature themes of relationships, marijuana, and social commentary, delivered over accessible, radio-friendly production. His subsequent releases, including One I Lova and Kaseta in 2010, featured collaborations with rappers such as Cvija and Struka, as well as the groups Elitni Odredi and Unija.

Over the following years Rasta became one of the most commercially successful pop-folk and hip-hop crossover artists in the Serbian and wider ex-Yugoslav music scene, with hits like «Mama», «Tajland», «Euforija», and «Benz Ili Bimmer» reaching wide audiences across the region. His accessible sound and steady stream of hit singles have made him a defining figure of contemporary Serbian urban pop.
