Raftaar

Raftaar, born Dilin Nair, is one of the most prolific and commercially successful rappers in Indian hip-hop. He began his career in Delhi in the late 2000s, writing and recording with friends before joining Yo Yo Honey Singh's collective Mafia Mundeer, where he built his early reputation as a lyricist and battle rapper. After leaving the group he briefly formed the duo The Titans with Badshah, then worked with the Punjabi act RDB before establishing himself as a solo artist and in-demand producer for Bollywood.

His sound blends aggressive, technically dense Hindi and Punjabi rap verses with mainstream pop and trap production, making him equally comfortable on underground battle tracks and chart-topping film songs. Hits like «Swag Mera Desi» helped bring rap vocabulary into mainstream Bollywood music, while later singles pushed harder trap and bounce-influenced sounds.

Raftaar is regarded as a key bridge between India's underground hip-hop scene and its film industry, having written and performed for numerous Bollywood soundtracks alongside his independent catalogue. He remains active as both a solo artist and a mentor figure for younger Indian rappers.
