Project Pat

Project Pat, born Patrick Houston, is an American rapper from Memphis, Tennessee, and the older brother of Three 6 Mafia co-founder Juicy J. His stage name references his roots in public housing projects combined with his first name. He began recording in the early 1990s alongside Juicy J and DJ Paul, contributing to the raw, dark sound that defined the early Memphis rap scene.

After a period of incarceration on robbery charges, Pat returned to music in 1999 with his debut album Ghetty Green, released through his brother's Hypnotize Minds label. He gained wider recognition for his gruff, laid-back delivery and vivid depictions of street life, hustling, and Memphis culture, becoming a defining voice of the crunk and dirty South era. His guest verse on Three 6 Mafia's «Sippin' On Some Syrup» brought him significant mainstream attention.

Project Pat's catalog, including tracks like «Chickenhead» and «Out There», helped shape Southern hip-hop's aesthetic and influenced a generation of trap and crunk artists. His deep, unhurried flow and unapologetic storytelling made him one of Memphis rap's most recognizable figures, and his continued collaborations with Hypnotize Minds affiliates cemented his legacy within that scene.
