Pooh Shiesty

Pooh Shiesty, born Lontrell Dennell Williams Jr., is an American rapper and songwriter from Memphis, Tennessee. He came up through his affiliation with Gucci Mane’s label 1017 Eskimo, part of Atlantic Records, first gaining wider attention via a feature on Gucci’s 2020 single «Still Remember» and subsequent appearances on Gucci-affiliated compilations tied to the «New 1017» roster of artists.

His breakout moment came with «Back in Blood» featuring Lil Durk, released in late 2020, a menacing, bass-heavy trap single that went platinum and became his first charting hit. The song anchored his debut mixtape, Shiesty Season, released in early 2021, which cemented his aggressive, ad-lib-heavy delivery and dark, minimalist Memphis-rooted trap production as a defining sound of the moment. He also appeared on SpotemGottem’s «Beat Box 2», another commercially successful collaboration from the same period.
