PLK

PLK, born Mathieu Pruski, is a French rapper from the 14th arrondissement of Paris who built his early reputation within the collectives Panama Bende and La Confrérie before launching a solo career. He began writing as a teenager, releasing freestyles with Panama Bende and gaining early exposure through appearances on Skyrock's Planète Rap.

After two group projects and the solo EPs «Peur de me tromper» (2015) and «Dedans» (2016), PLK signed with the Paris label Panenka Music in 2017. His mixtapes «Ténébreux» (2017) and «Platinum» (2018), supported by striking music videos, broadened his audience considerably and established his melodic yet dark, introspective style, blending trap-influenced production with emotionally direct, often melancholic songwriting.

His debut studio album, «Polak» (2018), named after his Polish heritage, featured guests including Polish rapper Paluch and marked his arrival as one of the defining voices of the French rap scene's melodic, mainstream-adjacent wave, known for tracks like «Un peu de haine» and «Hier» that pair catchy hooks with candid, sometimes vulnerable lyrics.
