Phora, born Marco Archer, is an American rapper from Anaheim, California, part of the wider West Coast underground and independent hip-hop scene. He began writing and recording as a child, encouraged by his father, and later drew on graffiti culture as an early creative influence before fully committing to music. In 2011 he founded his own label, Yours Truly, which became the platform for most of his subsequent releases and helped him build a large following outside the traditional major-label system.

His music blends introspective, often melancholic rap with R&B-inflected hooks, frequently touching on themes of loss, faith, love, and survival.
