Paky

Paky, born Vincenzo Mattera in Naples in 1999, is an Italian rapper who grew up between the Naples neighborhoods of 167 Secondigliano and Fuorigrotta before his family relocated to Rozzano, near Milan, when he was ten. Drawing inspiration from Neapolitan rap pioneers like Co Sang, he began releasing music in 2019 under the alias Pakartas, and the single «Rozzi», released later that year, became the breakthrough that established him within the Italian rap scene.

Between 2020 and 2021 he built on that momentum with further singles and a string of high-profile collaborations, appearing on tracks with major names in Italian rap including Marracash, Gue Pequeno and Tedua. His music blends melodic hooks with a gritty, street-rooted delivery, reflecting the sound of the new wave of Milan-based trap and rap that emerged in the early 2020s.

In early 2021 he signed with Island Records/Universal, and released his debut studio album, Salvatore, in 2022, cementing his position as one of the notable voices among the younger generation of Italian rappers.
