Oliver Francis

Oliver Francis, born Alexander Francis Kelly, is a rapper, producer and songwriter from the Columbia, Missouri area, raised in the small town of Ashland. Before turning to rap in 2015, he was active in the local pop-punk and alternative scene, playing in bands such as Treebeard and Glory Days while releasing solo material under various names on SoundCloud, Myspace and YouTube.

Known for a fiercely independent, DIY approach, Oliver Francis self-produces the majority of his music and directs most of his own videos with a close circle of longtime collaborators, while also running his own Burnout merchandise brand. His sound draws freely across rap, rock, pop and electronic textures, reflected in tracks like «Aahyeahh», «Anti-Grav», «Polo Socks ($pla$h Hou$e 2)», «Gemini», «yeenreally», «AEOU», «3 Deep» and «Chernobyl».

His background in punk and alternative music, combined with an underground internet-era rap sensibility, gives his catalogue a genre-blending, lo-fi character distinct from mainstream rap production. Francis rarely appears on other artists' tracks, keeping his output tightly controlled and closely tied to his own creative circle.
