OG Maco, born Benedict Chiajulam Ihesiba Jr. on April 23, 1992, was an American rapper from Atlanta, Georgia, part of the city's vibrant trap and hip-hop scene of the early 2010s. He broke through in 2014 with the single «U Guessed It», a stripped-down, high-energy track built around a hypnotic ad-lib hook that became a viral catchphrase and crossed over onto the Billboard Hot 100. The song's raw production and shouted delivery made him a defining voice of the DIY, internet-driven rap movement of that era, and it was later remixed with features from artists like Rich Homie Quan and 2 Chainz.

Beyond his breakout hit, OG Maco built a catalog marked by aggressive energy, unpolished production choices, and a willingness to experiment across rap, and touches of rock and R&B. Tracks such as «FUCKEMx3», «12 Bricks», and «Road Runner» reflected his combative, unfiltered persona and his refusal to chase conventional radio polish. He was affiliated with Quality Control Music and was named to XXL Magazine's 2015 Freshman Class, cementing his place among a new generation of Atlanta artists reshaping mainstream hip-hop.

OG Maco remained an outspoken and independent figure in hip-hop, often critical of industry norms, until his death on December 26, 2024, at age 32, following a hospitalization after a self-inflicted gunshot wound.
