OG Keemo

OG Keemo, born Karim Joel Martin in 1993 in Mainz, is a German rapper who emerged from Mannheim's underground scene in the mid-2010s. In 2016 he co-founded the artist collective Zonkeymobb-Gang together with his producer Funkvater Frank and fellow members Binho, Inu and Mo, initially self-releasing tracks via SoundCloud before catching wider attention with the 2017 video for «Rigor Mortis».

He was subsequently signed to Chimperator, the label behind rapper Cro, releasing the single «Kobe» and the debut EP Neptun in 2017, followed by a limited vinyl edition and a companion release gathering previously SoundCloud-only material in 2018. Working closely with Funkvater Frank as his main producer, Keemo built a reputation for dense, literary wordplay, introspective and often dark storytelling, and a distinctive flow, collaborating along the way with artists including Mortel, Genetikk, Marvin Game, Chima Ede, Jace, Ahzumjot and Ulysse.

His catalog, featuring tracks like «Vorwort», «Vögel», «Töle» and «Geist», established him as one of the more critically respected voices in German rap, known for conceptually ambitious releases and a live show experience honed on stages such as Hip Hop Kemp and Splash! Festival.
