$NOT, born Edy Junior Edouard on December 16, 1997, is a Florida-based rapper who emerged from the SoundCloud rap scene of the mid-to-late 2010s. He debuted in 2016 with «By Myself» and spent his early years experimenting across styles, from Playboi Carti-influenced hypnotic trap to the raw intensity associated with acts like XXXTentacion, before settling into a hazy, mumbled, melancholic delivery that became his signature.

His breakout came with the 2018 single «Gosha», which showcased his laid-back, muffled vocal style layered over minimalist trap production. The track spread widely through streaming platforms and helped establish him as one of the defining voices of the internet-driven, lo-fi trap subgenre alongside contemporaries like Bones. His debut EP The Ti$$ue Files, also released in 2018, reflected this experimental, DIY aesthetic.

$NOT continued releasing music that blended rap, R&B, pop, and electronic textures, with tracks like «Doja», «Moon & Stars», «BERETTA», and «Mean» expanding his catalog and reach.
