NLE Choppa

NLE Choppa, born Bryson Lashun Potts on November 1, 2002, in Memphis, Tennessee, emerged as one of the breakout stars of late-2010s hip-hop with his hit single «Shotta Flow». Originally performing as YNR (Young N Ruthless) Choppa, he adopted the NLE Choppa name — standing for his brand No Love Entertainment — and quickly built a national profile while still a teenager, releasing «Shotta Flow» in 2019, which spawned a widely heard remix with Blueface and helped define the melodic, aggressive Memphis sound of that era.

His breakout year continued with «Shotta Flow 2», «Shotta Flow 3», «Camelot» and «ChopBloc» featuring BlocBoy JB, cementing his rapid, rhythmically dense flow paired with hard-hitting trap production. He capped 2019 with his debut EP «Cottonwood», later reissued in a deluxe edition featuring Meek Mill. In 2020 he continued expanding his catalog with singles including «Walk Em Down».

Beyond music, NLE Choppa has been vocal about health, wellness and holistic living, distinguishing his public persona from many of his Memphis-scene peers. His catalog spans hardcore trap alongside more melodic and even country-tinged experiments.
