NF

NF, born Nathan Feuerstein, is an American rapper and songwriter from Gladwin, Michigan. His music is rooted in a difficult childhood marked by his parents' divorce, an abusive household, and the death of his mother, themes he has returned to repeatedly and openly across his catalog. He began writing and recording as a way to process that pain, eventually competing in local rap competitions before releasing his independent debut album, Moments, in 2010.

After a brief, short-lived deal with Xist Music that ended before a planned EP could be released, NF found a lasting creative partnership with fellow Michigan producer Tommee Profitt, whose atmospheric, cinematic production became a signature backdrop for NF's confessional songwriting. This pairing helped define his sound: intense, melodically driven rap built around raw emotional narratives about mental health, faith, grief and self-doubt, largely free of explicit content or typical rap braggadocio.
