Nerone is the stage name of Massimiliano Figlia, an Italian rapper born in Milan. He began building his reputation through freestyle rap battles, winning several notable regional titles before gaining wider recognition. His profile rose significantly in 2014 when he won the third season of the MTV Italy talent show Spit, a moment that introduced him to audiences across the country beyond the underground battle-rap circuit.

Before his mainstream breakthrough, Nerone was part of the collective Microfollia Click, which grounded him in Italy's grassroots rap scene. He released his debut album, «Max», in 2017, marking his transition from battle-rap specialist to recording artist with a fuller body of original work.
