Ñengo Flow

Ñengo Flow, born Edwin Rosa Vázquez in 1981 in Río Piedras, San Juan, and raised in Bayamón, Puerto Rico, is one of the pioneering voices of reggaeton and Latin trap. Discovered performing in his neighborhood as a teenager, he debuted in the mid-2000s and gained wider recognition in the late 2000s with tracks like «Caracol» and «Me Compré un Full», the latter becoming a foundational posse-cut anthem remixed with numerous prominent artists from the genre.

His rugged, aggressive flow and distinctive vocal cadence made him a key influence on the generation of Latin trap and reggaeton artists that followed, with his early work often cited as a bridge between classic reggaeton and the harder-edged trap sound that emerged in Puerto Rico and beyond. Songs such as «El Juego», «47», and «Real G's» reflect his street-rooted, unapologetic style, which has earned him a reputation as an originator whose voice and ad-libs became widely recognizable and frequently sampled or referenced by younger artists.
