About the artist
Nekfeu, born Ken Samaras in 1990, is a French rapper who rose to prominence as a member of the collective S-Crew and later as a driving force of L'Entourage, the wider Paris-based crew that also produced groups like 1995. Raised partly in Nice before moving to Paris's 15th arrondissement, he built his reputation through freestyle battles and open mics such as Rap Contenders in the early 2010s, earning a reputation for dense, technically intricate wordplay.
As a solo artist, Nekfeu became one of the defining voices of the new generation of French rap, known for introspective, literary lyrics that move between social commentary, personal doubt and philosophical reflection, often set against melancholic, boom-bap-adjacent or melodic production. Singles like «On verra» and «Egerie» showcase his ability to blend rap with pop and R&B textures without losing lyrical density.
Beyond music, Nekfeu has directed music videos and founded the label Seine Zoo, extending his creative footprint into visual and entrepreneurial work. His path through S-Crew, 1995 and L'Entourage placed him at the center of one of the most influential rap movements to emerge from Paris in the 2010s, and tracks such as «Nique les clones Part. II» and «Mauvaise graine» remain touchstones of that era's sound.
