Necro, born Ron Braunstein, is an underground rapper and producer from Brooklyn, New York, and the founder of the independent label Psycho+Logical-Records. He is widely credited as a key architect of «death rap», a subgenre marked by horrorcore imagery, graphic violence, and dark humor layered over hard-hitting, sample-heavy production.

Beyond his own recordings, Necro has built a reputation as a prolific producer, crafting beats that blend gritty boom-bap drums with horror-film samples and menacing basslines, a signature sound heard across tracks like «I Need Drugs», «Death Rap», and «Creepy Crawl». His lyrics lean into extreme, taboo subject matter, positioning him firmly within the horrorcore and hardcore hip-hop underground rather than mainstream rap.
