Murda Beatz, born Shane Lee Lindstrom in 1994 in Fort Erie, Ontario, is a Canadian record producer who became one of the defining beatmakers of late-2010s hip-hop and pop-rap. Drawn to drums from a young age, he began producing beats as a teenager and quickly developed a recognizable style built around hard-hitting drum programming and melodic, often Caribbean-tinged instrumentals. His breakthrough came through work with major hip-hop artists, most notably Migos, Drake, and Travis Scott.

Murda Beatz produced or co-produced several major hits that reached the Billboard Hot 100, including «MotorSport» with Migos, Cardi B, and Nicki Minaj, «Portland» with Drake, Quavo, and Travis Scott, «FEFE» with 6ix9ine and Nicki Minaj, and Drake's «Nice For What». These records helped cement his reputation as one of the most sought-after producers in mainstream rap during that era.

He frequently collaborates with other producers, including CuBeatz and Felix Leone, and continues to shape the sound of contemporary trap and hip-hop through his signature drum patterns and tags.
