MoTrip

MoTrip is a German rapper of Lebanese origin, born in Lebanon and raised in Aachen, Germany, after his family emigrated during the Lebanese civil war. His stage name combines his first name with the Arabic word for artist. Introduced to hip-hop by his older brother, he began writing his own lyrics as a teenager and released early tracks that caught the attention of established German rappers.

His collaborations with figures such as Kool Savas, Samy Deluxe, Fler, Silla and JokA helped establish him within the German rap scene, eventually leading to a major-label deal with Universal Music. His music blends rap with pop-leaning hooks, and tracks like «So wie du bist», «Mathematik» and «Feder im Wind» show a more melodic, accessible side of German hip-hop, alongside more socially and personally reflective songs such as «Selbstlos» and «Tagebuch».

Songs like «Guten Morgen NSA» reflect his willingness to engage with political and social topics, while «Mama» and «Malcolm mittendrin» point to a more personal, narrative songwriting style. MoTrip occupies a space in German rap that bridges street credibility with radio-friendly pop sensibility.
