Moha La Squale

Moha La Squale, born Mohamed Bellahmed on February 24, 1995, in Créteil, France, is a French rapper and actor of Algerian descent who grew up in the La Banane neighborhood of the 20th arrondissement of Paris. He left school during his secondary studies and only began writing rhymes in 2017, but rose to prominence with remarkable speed thanks to a series of self-produced freestyle videos released almost weekly through that year, each amassing millions of views online.

His viral momentum led to a record deal with Elektra in late 2017, and in May 2018 he released his 24-track debut album «Bendero», which was followed by his first headlining tour, including a notable show at L'Olympia in Paris. His music blends old-school rap sensibilities, street storytelling and theatrical delivery, drawing on influences he has cited such as Mister You and Belgian-French chanson icon Jacques Brel — an unusual combination that gives his songwriting a distinct, narrative-driven character within French rap.

After facing legal troubles related to domestic violence allegations that delayed a planned 2020 follow-up, Moha La Squale returned in April 2022 with the announcement of «L'Appache», a 19-track album including exclusive physical-only tracks. Songs such as «Bienvenue à la Banane», «Luna» and «Ma belle» remain emblematic of his raw, character-driven approach to French rap.
