MO3, born Melvin Noble, was an American rapper from North Dallas, Texas, whose music grew directly out of a hard upbringing marked by poverty and instability. His street-level storytelling, delivered in a gritty, emotionally raw style, resonated with listeners drawn to authentic accounts of struggle, and he built a loyal regional following before breaking into wider recognition.

He emerged with his debut mixtape «Shottaz» in 2014, but it was the follow-up «Shottaz Reloaded» that established him more broadly, powered by singles like «Gangsta Love» that racked up millions of streams. That success drew attention from established Southern rap figures, and MO3 developed a close relationship with Boosie Badazz and his Bad Azz Music Label, collaborating and touring alongside him. He continued releasing mixtapes at a steady pace, including «Four Indictments», «Gangsta Love, Pt. 1», «Shottaz 3.0», and «911: Gangsta Grillz», working with a range of collaborators from the Dallas and broader Southern rap scenes.

His sound blended melodic hooks with hard-edged trap production, and songs such as «Errybody» and «Outside (Better Days)» later found major crossover success, introducing his music to a much wider audience. MO3 was shot and killed in Dallas in November 2020, a loss that was deeply felt across the Texas rap scene, and his catalogue continues to reach new listeners posthumously.
