Master P, born Percy Robert Miller, is an American rapper, entrepreneur and film producer from New Orleans, Louisiana. He rose to prominence in the 1990s as the founder of No Limit Records, a fiercely independent label that became one of the defining forces of Southern hip-hop, releasing a steady stream of albums by artists such as Mystikal, Silkk the Shocker and Master P himself under a distinctive tank-themed logo.

His sound blends gritty street narratives with bounce-influenced Southern production, funk samples and hard-hitting beats, epitomized by albums like «Ghetto D» and hits such as «Make ’Em Say Uhh!» and «I Miss My Homies».
