Marteria

Marten Laciny, known by his stage name Marteria, is a German rapper born in Rostock in 1982. He rose to prominence in the German hip-hop scene in the late 2000s with a style that blends rap with pop, rock, and electronic influences, often marked by playful wordplay, surreal imagery, and social commentary delivered with a distinctly humorous edge.

His breakthrough hits, including «OMG!», «Kids (2 Finger an den Kopf)», and «Verstrahlt», helped establish him as one of the most inventive voices in contemporary German rap, unafraid to mix club-ready hooks with darker, more introspective material, as heard on tracks like «Endboss» and «Lila Wolken». He also records under the alter ego Marsimoto, rapping in a high-pitched, cartoonish voice over stoner-rap and weed-themed lyrics, a project that runs parallel to and contrasts with his work as Marteria.
