MadeinTYO, born Malcolm Jamaal Davis, is an American rapper from Atlanta, Georgia, whose stage name is short for «Made in Tokyo», a nod to his fascination with Japanese culture and fashion. He broke through with the hit single «Uber Everywhere», a laid-back, hazy track that became a defining moment for the mid-2010s SoundCloud rap and trap wave, and it later spawned a widely shared remix featuring several other rappers.

His sound blends trap production with a melodic, minimal-effort delivery and a strong sense of fashion-forward, internet-native cool, tying him to a generation of artists who came up through SoundCloud and blog culture rather than traditional label pipelines. He is the brother of rapper 24hrs, with whom he has released joint projects, and he has worked closely with figures like Big Sean, on the track «Skateboard P», as well as artists including A$AP Ferg, KYLE, Chance the Rapper, J Balvin and Ty Dolla $ign.
