Ludacris

Ludacris, born Christopher Brian Bridges on September 11, 1977 in Champaign, Illinois, is one of the defining voices of Atlanta hip-hop. He got his start as a radio DJ known as Chris Lova Lova before co-founding the label Disturbing tha Peace and releasing his 1999 debut album «Incognegro» independently. His major-label breakthrough with Def Jam South soon followed, cementing his place in the South's rise to hip-hop dominance in the early 2000s.

Known for a fast, exaggerated comedic delivery mixed with playful, sometimes raunchy lyrics and undeniable commercial hooks, Ludacris scored numerous hits including «Stand Up», «Money Maker», «What's Your Fantasy», «Area Codes» and «Move Bitch». His ability to pair humor with technical rapping skill and radio-friendly production made him one of the most consistently charting rappers of his era, while collaborations across pop and R&B, including with artists like Justin Bieber and Usher, broadened his reach beyond hip-hop audiences.

Beyond music, Ludacris built a significant acting career, notably in the «Fast & Furious» franchise, further extending his mainstream visibility. His catalog remains a touchstone for Southern hip-hop's blend of humor, hustle and hitmaking, and his influence can be heard in the many artists who followed his lead in balancing party anthems with regional pride.
