Luchè

Luchè, born Luca Imprudente in Naples in 1981, is an Italian rapper and producer who first made his mark as one half of Co'Sang, the duo he formed with Ntò that became a foundational act of Neapolitan-dialect rap in the late 1990s and 2000s. As Co'Sang's principal producer, Luchè shaped a raw, street-rooted sound that helped define Naples' distinct place within Italian hip-hop, rapping largely in the Neapolitan dialect.

After the duo split, Luchè launched a solo career, shifting predominantly to standard Italian and building a broader national audience. His breakthrough came with his third solo album, Malammore, released in 2016, which cemented his status as one of the leading voices in mainland Italian rap, known for melodic hooks, romantic and introspective themes, and a smooth blend of rap with R&B and pop sensibilities. Tracks such as «Torna da me», «Ti Amo», and «Non abbiamo età» reflect this more accessible, emotionally driven style.

Luchè's catalogue spans both his gritty Co'Sang-era output and his more polished solo work, giving him a rare dual identity within Italian rap as both an underground pioneer and a mainstream hitmaker. In 2024, he reunited with Ntò to reform Co'Sang, bringing his career full circle back to the duo that launched him.
