L’One

L'One, real name Levan Gorozia (born 1985), is a Russian rapper of Georgian descent who grew up in Yakutsk before relocating to Moscow. In 2005 he and his friend NEL founded the duo Marselle, which released several projects before disbanding around 2012. He then continued as a solo artist under the Black Star label, becoming one of the most recognizable voices of Russian mainstream rap-pop in the 2010s with hits like «Дорога» and «Океан».

His sound blends rap verses with radio-friendly pop hooks and R&B-influenced melodies, making him a crossover figure rather than a strictly underground rapper. Albums such as «Спутник», «Одинокая вселенная» and «Гравитация» cemented his popularity, while tracks like «Хоккеисты» and «Тигр» showcased his ability to write anthemic, sports- and pride-themed songs that resonated widely in Russia.

In 2019 he left Black Star amid a public conflict and lost the rights to the L'One stage name, which remained with the label; he began releasing new material under his real name, Levan Gorozia, including the albums «Пангея», «Рассвет», «Восход 1» and «Дом». Despite the name change, his catalog under L'One remains a defining part of 2010s Russian pop-rap.
