Lil Skies

Lil Skies, born Kimetrius Christopher Foose in 1998, is an American rapper from Chambersburg, Pennsylvania, raised in nearby Waynesboro. He emerged in the mid-2010s as part of the SoundCloud-driven wave of melodic trap artists, gaining wider recognition through his frequent collaborations with singer-songwriter Landon Cube.

His breakout songs, «Nowadays» and «Red Roses», both featuring Cube, showcased his signature blend of melodic hooks and moody, atmospheric trap production, helping define a sound that resonated strongly with a young streaming audience in the late 2010s. His music often balances sung and rapped verses over hazy, emotionally toned beats.

Lil Skies' stage name pays tribute to his father, who performed under the name «Dark Skies» and was a formative influence on his decision to pursue rap. Formerly signed to All We Got Entertainment through Atlantic Records, he has operated independently since 2023, continuing to release music including tracks like «Lust», «Creeping», and «i».
