Lil Reese

Lil Reese, born Tavares Lamont Taylor on January 6, 1993, is a rapper from Chicago, Illinois, and one of the foundational figures of the city's drill movement. He first gained widespread attention through his feature on Chief Keef's breakout single «I Don't Like» in 2012, a track that helped push Chicago drill into the national spotlight and became a defining moment for the entire scene.

His own music, built on a gritty, aggressive delivery over dark, minimal drill production, further cemented his reputation as one of the genre's most authentic voices. Tracks like «Traffic», «Us», «Beef», and «Team» captured the raw, street-level intensity that came to define drill's early sound, while songs such as «I Need That» and «Relate» showed a somewhat more melodic, reflective side. His association with the GBE (Glory Boyz Entertainment) collective placed him at the center of the movement alongside Chief Keef and other key figures of the scene.
