Lil Kleine

Lil Kleine, born Jorik Scholten, is a Dutch rapper who emerged from the Amsterdam hip-hop scene in the early 2010s. He first drew attention as a teenager for his rapping ability, later releasing his debut EP «Tuig Van De Richel» in the summer of 2012 in collaboration with Faberyayo and streetwear labels Appelsap, Nike and Patta. His breakthrough came as part of the collective New Wave, whose 2015 track «Drank & Drugs» with Ronnie Flex became one of the most-viewed Dutch hip-hop songs of its era and even inspired a German-language remake, «Stoff und Schnaps».

His 2016 debut album WOP went platinum within a few months of release, cementing him as one of the leading voices in Dutch-language trap and pop-rap. Songs like «Krantenwijk», «Kleine Jongen», «Loterij» and «Alleen» showcase his blend of melodic hooks, streetwise storytelling and playful Amsterdam slang, drawing on rap, pop, R&B and electronic production.

Beyond his solo career, Lil Kleine performs as MC in the group Giocatori alongside DJ duo Celvin van het Schip and Dennis Brugman, extending his reach into club and dance-oriented music. He remains one of the most commercially successful and widely discussed artists in Dutch hip-hop.
