Lil Keed

Lil Keed, born Raqhid Jevon Render, was an American rapper from Forest Park, Georgia, who later relocated to Atlanta and became one of the defining voices of the city's trap scene in the late 2010s. He was the older brother of fellow Atlanta rapper Lil Gotit, and his melodic, warbling delivery drew frequent comparisons to his mentor Young Thug, whose Young Stoner Life label signed Keed after his early mixtapes caught the attention of the Atlanta scene.

His breakthrough came through the «Trapped on Cleveland» and «Slime Avenue» tape series, released independently before his deal with YSL and 300 Entertainment, which led to «Trapped on Cleveland 2» and «Keed Talk to 'Em». His 2019 debut studio album «Long Live Mexico» featured support from artists including YNW Melly, Lil Uzi Vert and Gunna, cementing his rise within the new generation of Atlanta trap. He continued the Cleveland series with «Trapped on Cleveland 3» in 2020, which included Lil Baby and Travis Scott, followed by a deluxe edition featuring Chris Brown and O.T. Genasis.

Known for his distinctive melodic flow, ad-libs and emotionally charged trap production, Lil Keed built a catalog including tracks like «Nameless», «Snake» and «Anybody» that showcased his versatility across street anthems and more introspective material. He died in May 2022, leaving behind a body of work that remains influential within the Atlanta trap and Young Stoner Life community.
