Lil Gnar

Lil Gnar, born Caleb Samuel Sheppard on February 24, 1996, is a rapper, skateboarder and fashion designer from Oakland, California. Before turning to music, he was already known in skate culture and for his clothing brand GNARCOTIC, which collaborated with labels such as G59 and DGK. He broke into rap in 2017 with the breakout single «Ride Wit Da Fye» featuring Germ, which brought him wider recognition within the SoundCloud-era rap scene.

Gnar released his debut EP BIG BAD GNAR SHIT in February 2018 alongside Germ under Gnarcotic Records, followed by his debut studio album GNAR LiF3 later that year, featuring guests like Lil Skies, Travis Barker, IDK and ZillaKami. His sophomore album Fire Hazard arrived in 2019, bringing collaborations with Lil Tracy, YBN Nahmir, Lil Skies, UnoTheActivist, Craig Xen and Lil Yachty, and containing his hit «Death Note», accompanied by a Cole Bennett-directed music video.

Musically, Lil Gnar blends aggressive, distorted trap and rage-adjacent production with punk and rock influences, reflecting his roots in skate culture. Tracks such as «Sticky Rice», «GRAVE», «Drop Top Benz», «New Bugatti» and «Diamond Choker» (featuring Lil Uzi Vert) showcase his high-energy delivery and genre-blurring approach, positioning him as a distinctive voice at the intersection of underground rap and rock aesthetics.
