Lil Baby, born Dominique Armani Jones on December 3, 1994, is a rapper from Atlanta, Georgia, who rose from a turbulent early life involving multiple arrests to becoming one of the defining voices of contemporary trap. Encouraged by Quality Control Music executives to pursue rap after being released from incarceration, he debuted with the mixtape Perfect Timing in 2017, quickly gaining traction through his melodic yet gritty delivery and vivid street narratives.
