Lefa

Lefa, born Karim Fall, is a French rapper best known as one of the founding members of the Paris collective Sexion d'Assaut, one of the most influential French rap groups of the 2010s. Within the group he is regarded as one of its most technically gifted members, praised for his wordplay and flow. After the group's massive success with the album «L'Apogée», Lefa stepped away from music between roughly 2012 and 2015, a hiatus that only deepened fan anticipation and drew tributes from fellow rappers who publicly missed his presence on the scene.

He returned to music with his solo debut «Monsieur Fall» in January 2016, followed later that year by the mixtape «TMCP». His solo work leans into rap with R&B and pop textures, moving away from strict boom-bap toward more melodic, radio-friendly production while keeping the dense, technical lyricism that made his reputation. Tracks like «Bitch», «Quelques minutes» and «Paradise» reflect this blend of street rap sensibility and pop accessibility.

Lefa remains one of the most respected figures to emerge from the Sexion d'Assaut lineage, both for his individual catalog and for the outsized cultural moment created by his return to French rap after years away from the spotlight.
