Latto

Latto, born Alyssa Michelle Stephens, is an American rapper who rose to prominence after winning the inaugural season of the Lifetime reality competition The Rap Game as a teenager under the stage name Miss Mulatto. Raised in Georgia after being born in Ohio, she began writing rap songs at a young age and built a following as an independent artist before signing with a major label, later rebranding first to Mulatto and then to Latto.

Her sound sits within Southern trap and hip-hop, marked by assertive delivery, sharp punchlines, and hooks built for both clubs and streaming playlists. She broke through commercially with singles like «Bitch From Da Souf» and its remix, which featured guest verses from established Southern rap figures, establishing her as part of a new generation of women reshaping mainstream rap.

Latto's biggest crossover moment came with «Big Energy», which became a global hit and introduced her to a much wider pop audience, built around a sample of Mariah Carey's «Fantasy».
